Welcome!

Dear Delegates,

We are excited to welcome you to Princeton Model Congress 2024 at the Washington Hilton!

It is an honor to serve as Executive Directors of the oldest college-run government simulation program in the United States. This year marks PMC's 43rd anniversary, and in the last four decades, we have invited over 20,000 high school students to an unparalleled educational experience with the inner workings of the our government and our Constitution at the heart of our nation's capital.

Embodying our University’s motto of acting “in the nation’s service and the service of humanity,” PMC is proud to have expanded both our outreach and financial aid this year to welcome the most diverse delegate body to date. We project a total attendance of about 750 delegates from across the country, socioeconomic tiers, and political spectrum.

PMC is proud to continue expanding the Novice Division for committees and awards to foster civic engagement among all of America’s future, especially those new to parliamentary procedure or speech and debate. We hope the additional preparatory materials are useful for all, novice or experienced.

We believe that the combination of passionate enthusiasm from our delegates and teachers, leadership of trained Princeton undergraduates, and the never-dwindling dynamism within D.C. coalesce into what Princeton alum James Madison called an American "experiment in democracy.” We are proud to be the heirs of Madison's legacy, and we look forward to you joining us this November on our mission to educate and empower the next generation of American leaders.

Sincerely yours,

Mariem Elgendy & Hayk Yengibaryan
Executive Directors, PMC 2024
